Style diary: Last day

It's been a while since I last dressed up at work so I guess this is the best time to write my first style diary post. When you don't have time and too lazy to think of what to wear, just grab your basic pieces in your closet and tadaaah you are good to go. I wore some of my favorite basics in the office today. What do you think?

Today is the last day of our #monthendmadness and I can't hide how happy I am. Hahaha! After days of staying late in the office, we can finally have a life again tomorrow.

Food diary: Nihonbashi Tei

Together with my Saturday buddies Merie and Mica, and their boyfriends, we had an unplanned dinner date after our class. We initially wanted to try Little Tokyo but we decided to go at Nihonbashi Tei since most of us haven't tried it there yet.

I love Japanese food that I can eat it everyday. I really enjoyed the fact that this restaurant didn't disappoint my japanese food cravings. The food was very delicious but not that expensive as compared with others. Definitely a happy tummy.

The ambiance, the signage and all those Japanese drinks made up the whole authenticity of the restaurant.

Takoyaki
Php 165.00

Salmon spicy maki
Php 170.00

Special Yaki Gyoza
Php 170.00

Sukiyaki don with Miso soup
Php 280.00

Buta Bara and Tori Kawa
Php 60.00 and Php 45.00

All our orders was worth it. My personal favorite was their takoyaki and gyoza.
Anyone wants to try here? I can go with you! Hahaha!

Book diary: To the Moon and Back

To the Moon and Back
Jill Mansell

Today, I'll be talking about the first e-book that I've ever downloaded and tried reading. Last year, I started reading the first few chapters of the book until I got bored and never really came close to finishing it. Not until this year.

The story of the book is about a girl named Ellie who lost her husband, Jaime in a car accident. It was a bit tragic but as the story goes on, she eventually moved on and met some people along the way. These people helped her cope with the life and love again.

It was a very timely read for me right now. What I learned from the book is that no matter how bad our life may turn out, there will still be people who will have your back and cheer you up at the end of the day.

Favorite lines from the book:

"Sometimes, you just have to get your priorities right and make time" - Jaime

"Oh Jaime, wake up, please just open your eyes and tell me everything's going to be all right" - Ellie

"Anyway, that was the thing about life and fate; it was never fair. Horrific things happened to good people and brilliant things happened to bad ones." - Ellie

School diary: First day high

Finally, it was the day we're waiting for. Last Saturday was our first day in school. We got to meet our instructor Ched Dalogaog and made new friends. On our first session, we're told the difference between fashion and art, timelines, target market as well as the different kinds of fashion. We also learned how to draw basic tops, collars and sleeves which basically was my favorite part of the day.

My Saturday buddies, Merie, Mica and I tried Mom and Tina's since it was a few steps away from school and we only have an one hour to spare for lunch.

I didn't expect to learn that much on our first day. I'm so happy and pressured at the same time. Yikes! Maybe because being a fashion designer is not that easy. Nonetheless, can't wait for our next session!

50 months

I'm thankful and blessed to have a man who's sweet enough to annoy me every night. Hahaha! Just kidding.
Those 50 months with this man were far from perfect but still he made me feel loved, happy and contented of what we are and what we have everyday.

Thank you for everything, my love. Still can't believe we're 50 months old. Hihihi!
I love you so much.

Love,

M

Ralph and Bianca wedding

At long last, after years together they finally tied the knot. One of my favorite couple exchanged their vows last January 2014.

I've known Kuya Ralph and Ate Bianca for almost five years now. Ate Bianca is Dustin's sister. The first time I met her and Kuya was when we had dinner together for D's birthday last 2010. From there I've witnessed their love story.

I remembered my reaction when we found out that Kuya Ralph already proposed to Ate Bianca last year. I was so happy gushing to Ate's ring while D's still in denial that her Ate is getting married anytime soon. Hahaha!

After a year of preparation the wedding turned to be one of the most beautiful wedding I've witnessed. Not because it's super bongga but because the love of their family and friends were overflowing that day.

Hello newlyweds!
